How are ECX ports physically presented?
Hi KS,
Please have a look at these docs about the Equinix Fabric port ordering workflow:
https://docs.equinix.com/en-us/Content/Interconnection/Fabric/ports/Fabric-port-order.htm
We will ask you the IBX, space, rack, patch panel where you want the port to be delivered. If there is no free patch panel, we will install a new one.

Thanks Marek, just to clarify can you confirm if the below are correct.
- Available port on customer patch panel (LoA to be provided):
Customer Last Mile <> Equinix IBX Data Center (Customer Cage) - Customer Patch Panel <> Equinix Physical Cross Connect <> Equinix Fabric Port
- No free patch panel:
Customer Last Mile <> Equinix IBX Data Center (Customer Cage) - Equinix Delivered Patch Panel <> Equinix Physical Cross Connect <> Equinix Fabric Port.

Hi KS,
There is no distinction between a "Customer PP" or an "Equinix delivered PP".
All PPs are delivered by Equinix, into a rack where a Customer is deployed.
If there are free ports on an existing PP, then it is possible to use it to deliver a Fabric port.
If there are no free ports, then a new PP should be installed (by Equinix, at customer's request) before the Fabric port order can be placed.
